Welte KUR 4 Ceramic Adhesive should be allowed to dry for approx. 24 hours after application before firing is started. Another advantage of KUR 4 is that it can be glazed over after biscuit firing. The workpiece can be further processed without any problems after the repair.
Instructions for use:
The parts to be bonded should be free of dust and grease, and slightly moistened.
Apply a thick layer of KUR 4 ceramic adhesive to both parts.
If possible, remove excess adhesive while still wet.
After drying, fire the repaired piece in the biscuit firing at 900 - 1,250° C.
Sand off any unevenness after drying.
Do not subject repaired areas to excessive stress before firing, as the final hardening only takes place during firing.
KUR 4 can be glazed over after biscuit firing.
