STABILO® CarbOthello Chalk-pastel Pencils are pastel crayons in pencil form. They are wood-cased and measure 4.4 mm diameter and approx. 175 mm long.
STABILO® CarbOthello Chalk-pastel Pencils have the following impressive properties:
- excellent lightfastness and colour brilliance
- colours can be mixed and smudged as desired
- high luminosity and opacity
- soft coating, similar to charcoal (dry and dusty)
- can be watercoloured
- unlimited colour gradations, contrasts and textures are possible
Application tips:
Due to the better adhesion of the pigment particles, it is advisable to use paper with a rough surface.
As the colours are dry and dusty, we recommend fixing the picture.
TIPS!
- Thanks to the soft lead, these pencils are also ideal for sensitive drawing papers.
- Colours: areas of solid colour can be obtained by rubbing pigment evenly with fingers or blending stumps on high quality paper.
- Effects: a sharpened white pencil can be used to lighten all colours or add highlights.
- Painting: pigments can be painted with water and a brush and drawing on the wet area can also produce interesting effects.
