Schmincke Liquid Earth is ideal for a clean, dust-free, vegan and natural way of painting, drawing and underpainting. It is formulated on the basis of natural earth pigments.

Liquid Earth is a great alternative to familiar drawing materials e.g. in pencil or carré stick form. Please note that minimal colour variations may occur between different batches due to the natural products used as pigments.

Schmincke Liquid Earth is also ideal for large formats and different surface effects. The colours allow large areas to be worked on quickly due to the large amount of pigment they contain. They also contain high-quality gum arabic as a binding agent, similar to traditional artists' watercolours (gouache, watercolours, etc.), and have a consistency similar to gouache. Various shades, textures and layer thicknesses can be achieved by diluting with water. Depending on the surface and layer thickness, the colours remain smudgeable by hand and can be easily removed with water.

TIPS!

• Liquid Earth can also be easily combined with charcoal or chalk/sanguine/remodelling pencils.
• The ability to smudge and remove the colour depends on the nature of the surface. The smoother and firmer the surface, the easier it is to change the colour. It is advisable to carry out tests beforehand.
