This Schmincke Indian Ink 1912 is a waterproof, deep black and document-safe drawing ink. This shellac ink was available in the Schmincke range in 1912, hence the name!
The shellac is a resin, a natural binding agent that ensures that the ink dries waterproof and gives the ink a particularly silky sheen. The water-based new edition of the Indian lnk with shellac as a binder has a liquid consistency and is therefore ideal for writing, painting and drawing with all types of nibs and brushes.
