The four selected colours of SAKURA Pigma MICRON™ fineliners are inspired by the colour palette of van Gogh's masterpiece "Blossoming Plum Garden".
This artwork is the perfect link between the Japanese brand SAKURA, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and van Gogh, who was inspired by Japanese prints. Van Gogh created three paintings based on Japanese prints from his own collection, imitating the use of colour and the style of Japanese printmakers.
SAKURA's Pigma ink was the first ink in the world to combine pigments and water. Since then, this ink has become the benchmark for reliable, permanent, archival quality ink.
