With this system you can keep water-based paints such as acrylics, watercolours, gouache and water mixable oil paints, moist - and therefore open and workable - in the open palette for hours. And when you close the palette with the lid, your paints remain workable for days, sometimes even weeks.

How does it work? The palette consists of two parts: a shallow tray, containing a cellulose sponge that you wet with water, and on top of that a sheet of palette paper, on which you mix your paint. That paper also acts as a permeable membrane, sucking up water from the sponge, so that your paint stays moist while painting and does not dry out. And there is also a lid, which allows you to close the whole palette, preventing evaporation.
