With this system you can keep water-based paints such as acrylics, watercolours, gouache and water mixable oil paints, moist - and therefore open and workable - in the open palette for hours. And when you close the palette with the lid, your paints remain workable for days, sometimes even weeks.
Here's how it works: the palette consists of two parts - a shallow tray, containing a cellulose sponge that you wet with water and on top of that, a sheet of palette paper, on which you mix your paint. That paper also acts as a permeable membrane, sucking up water from the sponge, so that your paint stays moist while painting and does not dry out. And there is also a lid, which allows you to close the whole palette, preventing evaporation.
And cleaning? Couldn't be easier — old sheet out, new sheet in!
TIP! This palette has additional sealable pots for paints or mediums and a separate pot for water. The pots are in a removable tray, under which there is storage space for brushes.

TIPS! You can also use this palette for water mixable oil colours - you can then mix your paints directly on the palette paper. However please note: the palette paper is not suitable for classic oil paints thinned with turpentine etc. If you prefer to work on a normal palette, then remove the sponge and paper and use this sealable palette - with the lid closed, your paints will stay workable for longer!
