LUKAS Masking Fluid 2239 is a painting medium for temporary covering of areas of watercolour paper, to prevent the colour reaching them.

This LUKAS Masking Fluid 2239 is sold in 50 ml bottles. It contains liquid rubber latex. Apply with a brush or silicone tool over dry paper. The masking fluid will dry to a removable film which can be overpainted with watercolour. Once your painting is dry, remove the masking fluid as soon as possible - do not leave it on for longer than a couple of days. Remove by rubbing with fingers, soft eraser or rubber gloves.

TIP! Pre-testing is necessary, since not all papers are suitable for this technique.
