Khadi Handmade Lokta Paper comes from eastern Nepal. The coloured paper is made from the bark fibres of the lokta, a plant that grows in the foothills of the Himalayas at an altitude of over 3000 metres.
The procuring and processing on this renewable raw material secures valuable jobs in the mountain regions. The dyeing is done in the Kathmandu Valley using dyes that meet all applicable EU standards.
Khadi Handmade Lokta Paper has a medium-rough surface, is non-absorbent and is ideal for ink, India ink, calligraphy, collages and packaging. All coloured Lokta papers are vegan.
