JACQUARD SolarFast™ Sunlight Developed Dye is ideal for transferring customised designs onto paper and fabric. Objects, stencils, negative templates, plants, etc. are suitable as design templates.
Even detailed photos can be transferred using negatives printed on film. This product is a water-based photographic emulsion. The colour is exposed to sunlight (UV light) and fixed.
JACQUARD SolarFast™ Sunlight Developed Dye is ideal for all absorbent natural fibres such as paper or textiles (e.g. cotton, silk, linen, etc.). The ink can also be used on suede and untreated wood.
How JACQUARD SolarFast™ Sunlight Developed Dye works:
- simply apply SolarFast™ to paper or fabric with a brush or sponge.
- allow to soak in briefly.
- place your desired design on the wet colour, make sure it does not slip.
- expose the design to sunlight (UV light), a UV lamp can also be used for this purpose.
- depending on the intensity of the light and the colour used, the exposure time is 10 - 25 minutes.
- *wash and you're done!
*for textiles, SolarFast Wash should be added during the first wash in the washing machine to remove undeveloped dye and prevent re-colouring. Wood and paper can simply be cleaned by hand washing in warm water. The addition of SolarFast Wash is also recommended for this purpose.
