holbein Artists Gouache is a classic gouache based on gum arabic and dextrin. It is more finely ground than other similar products. Colours are opaque, bright and saturated.
The colours dry evenly, uniformly and velvety matt, and offer exceptional lightfastness. No whitening agents are added to increase opacity. This gouache always gives consistently reliable results.
The paint moves, reacts, blends and feels like traditional gum arabic gouache, but without the surface fragility. There is no colour shift from wet to dry. holbein Artists Gouache is compatible with all other water soluble media. Pigments were chosen for their exceptional saturation and ability to mix freely without loss of brilliance, opacity or hue value. Layering is easy, each colour will completely cover an underlying colour, without transparency.
This holbein Artists Gouache primary color mixing set G741 contains 5 x 5 ml tubes, and is packed in a sturdy cardboard box. The colours are:

TIP! Mixing two of these colours equally will easily produce secondary colours as the density and the handling characteristics are well balanced,. Mixing three colours equally will produce black and dark grey. Producing a comprehensive grey scale has never been easier!
Holbein has also created a Primary black and Primary white because, unlike Ivory black and Permanent white, they offer the same specific gravity as the other three primary colours. The result is a set that will produce colours identical in volume and weight when mixed together.
