Hahnemühle | Sugar Cane Watercolour Paper — 290 gsm
Hahnemühle Sugar Cane Watercolour Paper is the latest addition to the Hahnemühle Natural Line. It is made from 70% rapidly renewable sugar cane fibres (bagasse) and 30% vegetable cotton residues (rags).
This paper combines the best properties of both materials: the strength of sugar cane fibres with the softness of cotton. The 290 gsm natural white, warm-toned paper has a matt, distinctive surface texture and a soft feel. It is excellent for working with watercolour, gouache and all wet-on-wet techniques. The colours are brilliant and velvety. The natural fibres of the sugar cane give the paper high stability and tear resistance, so that the paper can absorb large amounts of water and paint without curling. The colours can be easily removed from the surface. The paper masters colour gradients and effects, such as salt or water droplets, as well as thin lines and accents with fineliner.
