GOLDEN® HARD MOLDING PASTE is a hard, opaque, acrylic texture medium. It is useful for creating tough, durable finishes for smooth or textured surfaces.
This GOLDEN® HARD MOLDING PASTE mixes well with GOLDEN® acrylic colours, or can be overpainted. This modelling paste can be used on rigid supports like wood to add designs or texture to the object. It evens itself out when applied and forms smooth, hard surfaces or rounded high points.
Flexibility can be improved by blending with regular GOLDEN® Molding Paste or Regular or Heavy Gel. To minimize the chance of cracking, avoid applying a single layer thicker than 1/4 inch. Multiple layers can be applied to achieve thicker overall applications; this actually facilitates faster drying.
TIP! Once dry, this medium can be carved with hand or power tools, and is readily sandable.
