White, high-quality acrylic primer - Gerstaecker Gesso. An ideal primer for preparing closed, grease-free and textile painting surfaces. Gesso is water-soluble, contains no solvents, is lightfast and resistant to ageing. Gerstaecker gesso gives a slightly rough surface after drying. It is excellent as a ground for oil colours, acrylic colours, watercolours and gouache.

After pre-treatment with Gerstaecker Gesso, a slightly rough surface with highly absorbent properties appears after drying.
The primer can be diluted as needed and applied in 1 or more layers (drying time between layers is 2 to 3 hours, light sanding if necessary).
