Gerstaecker’s metallic-effect pigments are manufactured from muscovite (mica). Muscovite pigments offer a range of advantages in contrast to commonly offered metallic powders. Not only are the nuances of these pigments finer, they are also free of harmful substances.

The metallic effect pigments are lightfast, weatherproof, and processable with all types of binders. They dissolve easily and hardly tend to deposit. The muscovite metallic pigments can be mixed not only with each other, but also with all common pigments (this does not apply to metallic powders, for example), making every conceivable nuance possible. Painting with Gerstaecker metallic effect pigments is very economical; only 15% weight is needed when mixing for a satisfactory result.
