The wide brushes, also known as mottlers, are especially suitable for the flat application of paint on rough painting surfaces. The da Vinci FORTE BASIC Wide Mottler Brushes Series 5074 guarantee a clean stroke edge and a reliable brush tip. They have a stainless steel ferrule and a short, blue matt wooden handle with a drilled hole. The hairs are firmly attached to the handle, preventing annoying hair loss.
These brushes can be used as priming, glazing and wash brushes as well as for many painting and imitation techniques.
