These Clairefontaine Pastelmat Pads contain a unique and avant-garde paper for pastels. The paper enables energetic strokes and also the softest shading.

The soft and adherent surface allows multiple layers of pigments without saturation effect and also without fixative. In the Clairefontaine Pastelmat Pad each sheet is protected by an interlayer of glassine paper. Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper can withstand wetting and erasing whilst retaining all its properties.
