Chelsea Classical Studio | N°6 Lavender Damar Varnish™ — natural

Chelsea Classical Studio Lavender Damar Varnish can be used as a final varnish or with mediums to thin paint and decrease drying time. It can also be diluted with solvent for use as a retouching varnish.

This Chelsea Classical Studio Lavender Damar Varnish is handmade with natural damar resin dissolved in spear lavender oil essence. A safe, natural solvent that has been used since the Renaissance as an alternative to turpentine and mineral spirits.

TIP! When applying the varnish you should always make sure that the picture is dry and has been painted with sufficient oil. If this is not the case, the application of a varnish can have an abrasive effect on the paint surface due to the high content of solvents. Please note: this varnish is removable with spike lavender solvent, turpentine or white spirit.
