STORE MANAGER
FULL TIME (40 H/WK)
GREATART LONDON, KINGSLAND ROAD


As the Shop Manager of GreatArt, the biggest fine art store in London, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining the presentation and profitability of the store. You will play a key role in representing the store’s brand, curating an engaging shopping experience for clients, and ensuring the business meets its sales targets. This role requires a passion for fine art, strong leadership skills, and a detailed understanding of retail management in a luxury environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Art, Business, or related field. Prior experience in a (art gallery or fine art) retail environment.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, with bonus opportunities based on store performance.

Daily tasks & responsibilities


Sales & Customer Experience:

  • Deliver an outstanding, personalized customer experience to our customers, offering expert knowledge and advice on fine art products.
  • Drive store sales and meet or exceed monthly targets through proactive customer engagement, promotional strategies, and events.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, artists, and collectors, fostering loyalty and repeat business.


Store Operations:

  • Manage day-to-day store operations, including opening, closing, merchandising, and inventory control.
  • Ensure all products are presented in an appealing manner.
  • Oversee stock management, track inventory levels, and liaise with suppliers and artists to ensure availability.


Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the store team, providing ongoing coaching and training to improve sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Create staff schedules, manage performance, and handle HR-related tasks such as recruitment and staff evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that reflects the store’s ethos and brand values.


Financial Management:

  • Monitor and manage store budgets, including costs, profit margins, and revenue targets.
    Track and analyze sales performance, producing regular reports for senior management.

    Marketing & Events:
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute promotional events and in-store experiences.
  • Assist in marketing by promoting new art supplies and running promotions
